GAP Group has started construction on Hyatt Place Dholera, a five-star hotel that will feature 200 rooms and 20 suites. The project marks the first international hospitality brand to enter the Dholera Special Investment Region. Officials held a new ceremony to mark the start of work on the property, which will rise to a height of approximately 65 metres.
Facilities and Site Details
The hotel will cover about 2.6 lakh sq. ft. of built-up area, including two basement levels. GAP Group selected Hyatt to manage the property, ensuring an internationally recognised brand presence. Hyatt Place Dholera will include a restaurant, banquet hall, pre-function area, business meeting facilities, swimming pool, gym, café and lounge. The banquet and pre-function spaces, along with an outdoor lawn, can accommodate about 500 people. This setup allows the hotel to host business meetings, conferences and social events.
GAP Group has committed to investing ₹2,500 crore in Dholera by 2030 across residential, commercial and industrial developments. The project aligns with the broader plan to develop the area along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Improved access via the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and a proposed international airport will support the site’s location. The development seeks to provide infrastructure for investors, business travellers and visitors as industrial activity expands in the region.
Leadership and Vision
Former Gujarat Cabinet Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama and MLA Kalubhai Dabhi performed the new ceremony. Hyatt Group General Manager Sonale Zagade unveiled the finalised design at the event. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited GAP Group’s Akhilam Township during the ceremony. He inspected the Hyatt Place Dholera site and explored other developments, including the coworking space and the food court. Senior Gujarat government officials, including Chief Secretary M. K. Das and advisors Hasmukh Adhia and S. S. Rathore, accompanied the Chief Minister.
GAP Group has operated in Dholera since 2014. Chairman Gopal Goswami stated that Dholera is entering an important phase of development. He noted that ongoing and upcoming industrial projects are creating new opportunities. The addition of Hyatt Place Dholera is intended to meet the growing need for hospitality facilities to serve investors and business travellers. Managing Director Ambrish Parajiya said the project supports the region’s next phase of growth. The development aims to provide infrastructure for people who will live, work and do business in the area.
